While we work with several trusted distributors and suppliers that offer a wide selection of flooring and tile products, we generally prefer that customers select and purchase their own materials. This gives you the flexibility to shop around and choose products that best fit your style and budget.
We are always happy to recommend retailers, wholesalers, and specific products, as well as assist with material pickups or delivery coordination when needed.

Yes. We can accommodate moving most furniture as part of the project. However, we appreciate customers removing as many personal items and smaller furnishings as possible before installation begins.

-
Absolutely. Inspecting the subfloor is one of the most important steps in a successful flooring installation.
We evaluate the subfloor for:
Structural integrity
Squeaks and movement
Flatness and levelness
Moisture concerns (when applicable)
Our estimates include minor subfloor preparation when necessary. However, some projects may require additional work such as self-leveling compounds, skim coating, subfloor repairs, or the installation of additional plywood to meet manufacturer requirements and ensure a long-lasting installation.
-
It depends on two factors:
The flooring product you select.
The type of subfloor being installed over.
Many modern luxury vinyl plank and laminate products include an attached underlayment, eliminating the need for additional padding. In some cases, however, adding an underlayment can improve sound reduction and provide a more solid feel underfoot.
For installations over concrete, including most basement floors, a minimum 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier is typically required to protect against moisture.
-
An uncoupling membrane is a specialized layer installed between the subfloor and tile assembly. Its purpose is to help prevent movement or cracks in the subfloor from transferring into the tile and grout above.
Benefits include:
Reduced stress caused by expansion and contraction
Improved crack resistance
Longer-lasting tile installations
Waterproofing capabilities when seams are properly treated (depending on the product used)
Uncoupling membranes are highly recommended for many tile installations and are considered an industry best practice in many applications.
-
Possibly. Depending on the flooring material and the resulting floor height, we may need to undercut door jambs and trim doors to ensure proper clearance and a professional finish.
Many projects also require transition pieces between adjoining rooms or flooring surfaces, which we will discuss during the planning process.
-
We offer several options depending on your budget and desired finished appearance.
Option 1: Add shoe molding or quarter round
A cost-effective solution that leaves the existing baseboards in place and installs a low-profile trim piece along the bottom edge.Option 2: Remove and reinstall existing baseboards
In many cases, baseboards can be carefully removed before installation and reinstalled afterward for a cleaner appearance.Option 3: Install new baseboards
For customers looking for a completely refreshed look, we can remove and dispose of the existing baseboards and install new trim throughout the space. We will review all available options and help you choose the best solution for your project.
-
All installations include a one-year workmanship warranty beginning on the date of project completion.
If a failure occurs during that period due to installation workmanship, we will repair the issue at no cost to you.
Extended workmanship warranties may be available for an additional fee. Please ask for details if you are interested in additional coverage.
